I Spit on Your Grave 3 – Movie Review

Friendly Review : I Spit on Your Grave 3

I totally get where you’re coming from. The first two movies in the series were absolutely amazing, so it’s disappointing when a director change can make such a big difference. It’s like a whole new ballgame with R.D. Braunstein taking over for the third installment.

I agree, Sarah Butler was fantastic in the first movie, and it’s great to see her return. But it sounds like the script for the third one just didn’t do justice to her character. It’s such a shame when a beloved character gets ruined like that.

And don’t even get me started on the dialogue, especially from the police officers. It’s cringeworthy when they start teasing someone about their name in a rape support group. That’s just not cool at all. It sounds like there were multiple instances like that throughout the film, which is definitely a letdown.

It’s a shame that the characters in this movie are so annoying. In the first two films, they did such a good job of making us root for the lead character and despise the villains. But it seems like that emotional connection is missing this time around.

Overall, it sounds like the third installment was a misfire that should have been avoided. Sometimes it’s best to leave things as they were after two successful movies.

Hey MovieMad Bunny! I totally get what you’re saying. This movie is a continuation of the 2010 remake, and it sounds like you weren’t completely satisfied with that one because it went a bit over the top. But in this one, Jennifer Hills, or should I say her new name, is back and ready to take matters into her own hands.

It seems like it takes a little while for Jennifer to go full-on berserk, but when she does, get ready for some gory moments that will stick with you. Especially that first kill, where she delivers a blow that definitely doesn’t end well for the guy. From there, it sounds like the movie follows a similar path to the 2010 version, but with a hidden message about how the authorities aren’t always helping the victims.

It must be pretty wild to see Sarah’s character transform into someone so twisted, especially towards the end when she starts to believe that all men are the same. It’s interesting how you mentioned talking to her and seeing her at a convention. That must have been a unique experience!

In terms of contributing to the franchise, it doesn’t sound like this movie adds much, but it’s still worth checking out.
