Shaitaan – Movie Review

Friendly Review : Shaitaan

R Madhavan totally shines in this supernatural thriller, my friend! “Shaitaan” is currently screening in theaters, and I must say, it’s quite an experience!

The movie is actually a remake of the Gujarati film “Vash,” which I’m sure most of us haven’t watched. But don’t worry, because this version is definitely worth checking out!

It tells the story of a family of four who go on a weekend trip to their farmhouse. Along the way, they encounter a seemingly friendly stranger who, as it turns out, has some sinister intentions. He uses black magic to control the mind of one of the girls and convinces the parents to let him take her away. The suspense builds as we wonder why he wants the girl and if the parents will be able to save her.

R Madhavan’s portrayal of the “Shaitaan” is absolutely brilliant! He brings out the evil nature of the character flawlessly. But he’s not the only star of the show. Ajay Devgan, Jyotika, and especially Janki Bodiwala, who plays the girl with the controlled mind, provide strong support to Madhavan in this battle of good versus evil.

While the last 15 minutes of the film may feel a bit cliched, the twist in the climax is truly awesome. It’s definitely worth the wait!

With great direction, editing, and a stellar cast delivering outstanding performances, “Shaitaan” is an entertaining watch for fans of this genre. And if you can’t catch it in theaters, don’t worry! It will be available for streaming on Netflix soon.

I’m glad you enjoyed it, my friend! I’d give it a solid 3.5 out of 5. Adios! 🎬😄 #SHAITAAN #sanjuzzreviews #Netflix #netflixindia #ajaydevgan #Jyotika #RMadhavan

Wow, I just saw “Shaitaan” and it was nearly flawless! This movie had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. I had high expectations, especially with all the buzz surrounding Ajay Devgn and R. Madhavan’s performances, and let me tell you, they didn’t disappoint. Devgn was absolutely fantastic as the desperate father, and Madhavan was downright creepy as the mysterious stranger.

But here’s the thing, while I was completely engrossed in the film, part of me wondered if it being a remake had any impact. I haven’t seen the original Gujarati film “Vash,” so maybe for those who have, the story might feel a bit predictable.

That being said, even if the plot isn’t the most original, the execution is top-notch. Vikas Bahl definitely knows how to build suspense. There were moments where I literally had to cover my eyes, and the scares felt genuine, not like cheap jump scares.

One thing I wasn’t entirely sure about was whether the film fully explored the emotional side. Sure, Devgn and Jyothika were convincing as a married couple thrown into this nightmare, but I would have loved to see a bit more depth in their relationship. Perhaps that would have made the whole experience even more gut-wrenching.

Overall, “Shaitaan” is a must-watch for horror fans. It’s a masterclass in building tension and delivering genuine scares. While the story may not be groundbreaking, the performances and execution are flawless. Just be prepared to be creeped out!

I hope this revamped version captures the essence of your thoughts in a better and friendlier way. Let me know if there’s anything else I can do for you, my friend! 😄
