Shehar Lakhot – Movie Review

Friendly Review : Shehar Lakhot

Oh man, it sounds like the first episode of that show didn’t quite hit the mark for you. πŸ˜• Sometimes when a show tries too hard to be quirky, it can end up feeling forced and not really go anywhere with the story. And if it’s slow and boring on top of that, it’s definitely a recipe for disappointment.

It sounds like the first episode focused a lot on the younger son returning to a small town and just going around without any clear purpose. And those scenes you mentioned… yikes! Breaking a guy’s hand and then killing an injured dog in an over-the-top way? That’s definitely not what you expect when you’re trying to get to know the characters. It’s a bit puzzling how shows like this get the green light, right?

It seems like they’re going for an edgy vibe with violence, nasty characters, and abuses, but unfortunately, it doesn’t always translate into true creativity. It’s a shame when rejected film scripts end up as bad web series. It’s like they missed the mark on bringing those rejected scripts to life in a captivating way.

But hey, not every show is a winner, right? We all have different tastes and preferences, and sometimes we stumble upon shows that just don’t do it for us. So, if you’re up for it, how about we put that disappointment behind us and find something awesome to watch? Let me know what kind of shows you’re into, and I’ll do my best to recommend something that’ll blow your mind! πŸ“ΊπŸ˜„

Oh man, it sounds like that show really let you down! 😞 You had high hopes after seeing the trailer, but it turned out to be a boring torture with a weak plot and uninspired writing. That’s such a bummer!

From what you described, the series is set in a town called Lakhot, somewhere in Rajasthan. Although the cars have an RJ27 registration, so you think it was shot in or near Udaipur. It’s a sleepy marble stone mining town, and our protagonist, Devendra Singh Tomar, is a negotiator working for Centre Marbles, a supposed giant in the sector. He’s sent from Gurgaon to Lakhot to work out a deal with the local protesting Kachdaar tribe and the company executives. The whole conflict revolves around a slain deer on the mining land, which reminds you of the Bishnoi community.

But it seems like the show didn’t quite deliver on its potential. Dev gets caught up in the mysteries of the town, facing hatred from everyone for some reason, while trying to start fresh for the sake of his family and an old flame. It’s a shame when a show has all the ingredients for success but fails to execute them well.

It’s interesting that the director, Navdeep Singh, tried to recreate the success of his previous movie, Manorama Six Feet Under, by setting the series in the same city, Lakhot. But it sounds like what made Manorama work was its tight plot and intriguing characters. It was a neo-noir thriller with femme fatales and shady politicians, and it took inspiration from the 1974 Oscar-winning screenplay of Chinatown. It’s a bit weird that the two films that worked well for the director were heavily inspired by other works.

Well, it’s disappointing when a show doesn’t live up to expectations, but hey, there are plenty of other great shows out there waiting to be discovered! If you’re up for it, let’s put this disappointment behind us and find something that’ll really captivate you. What kind of shows are you in the mood for? Let me know, and I’ll do my best to recommend something awesome! πŸ“ΊπŸ˜„
